Two former Clemson defenders signed NFL contracts this week.

Former Clemson safety Marcus Gilchrist has landed with the Detroit Lions.

Gilchrist has played in 123 games over the last eight seasons, including all 16 regular-season contests over each of the last two years with the Houston Texans and Oakland Raiders.

He posted 58 tackles, with three interceptions in 2018 with the Raiders.

Stephone Anthony rejoined the New Orleans Saints for the second time in a few days after being released last week. Anthony is a former Saints first-round draft pick.

Anthony has 149 career tackles, with the majority of those coming in his rookie season with the Saints in 2015 (112).
