The fearsome foursome of Clelin Ferrell, Dexter Lawrence, Christian Wilkins and Austin Bryant helped elevate the program to new heights. Their combined 147.0 tackles for loss and 74.0 sacks made their defenses among the most feared and effective. The Tigers went 41-3 with three trips to the College Football Playoffs and two National Championships during their tenure. In the 2019 NFL Draft, this group made history have three members drafted on day 1, all in the first round (Ferrell, Wilkins, Lawrence), and that had not been done since 2006. Bryant sealed their NFL Draft dominance by being selected in the fourth round.
