Stratford had their sights set on a State Championship this season. Haydrian Lewis was going to lead the charge. Lewis committed early to Clemson, so his recruiting would not be a distraction this season. Yesterday, Stratford fell short in the title game against Rock Hill.

"We just lost. That is basically it. Rock Hill won the game. They took advantage of some turnovers we had."

Lewis heard from his recruiting coach Burton Burns earlier in the week.

"Coach Burns just called me to talk about the normal things. He told me about what was going with the coaching changes. The changes will not affect my recruiting, things like that happen."

There is only one official visit Lewis plans on taking and that is to Clemson on January 14. Lewis will now turn his focus to the Shrine Bowl.

"With the state title game behind me now, I just want to get ready for the Shrine Bowl. I leave Saturday for the Shrine Bowl. Hopefully, we will have a good week of practice. I want to win it for South Carolina. North Carolina has won it two years in a row."

Lewis will be one of many players we will follow very closely the week of the Shrine Bowl.
