Zaxby's or Chick-fil-A
Aug 22, 2016, 1:27 PM
|

and don't tell me you "could never choose between the two." You're adults and are tasked with making many important decisions in your life, including this one.
Here's my take:
Chicken Quality/crispiness: Slight edge C-f-A Sauce: Zax by a mile Sides: Slight edge Zax Lemonade: C-F-A handily Atmosphere: Zax with the antiques on the walls
Consensus: I've got Zaxby's in a close one

If I want a Chicken Sandwich(fried or grilled) I'm going to CFA.
If I want Chicken fingers I'm going to Zaxbys.
The sides are a wash for me and depends on what I'm in a mood for.

Both are good and not really in the same chicken genre. CFA is a sandwich and nugget joint while zax is more of a finger establishment. Also CFA is a little more "fast food" than Zaxbys. Both are very good at what they do.

Only two restaurants I know of in South Carolina are in Mount Pleasant and North Charleston, but this chicken joint is awesome. Huge chicken tenders, always pipin' hot. All they do is chicken tenders, and they do them right!!!! They have a great sauce that comes with them too, Cane's sauce, which is similar to Zax sauce, but may actually be better.
I will say this about Zaxby's and Chick-Fil-A.
I still like the Wings and Things and the deep fried mushrooms at Zaxby's, as well as their Zalads.
For Chick-Fil-A, there are three things that are money, and all of them are breakfast items. They make a good bacon egg and cheese biscuit, and their chicken minis are good. My absolute favorite item though, which is something I never thought I'd say I liked until I tried it years ago, is their chicken burrito. Oh man!!!!!! It's fantastic. Grab you a chicken burrito combo with TWO packs of their salsa (trust me, you'll want an extra pack) the next time you stop for breakfast, and I promise you won't be disappointed.
Anyway, that's my opinion!!!
All this talk is getting me hungry for some tailgating...

from North Carolina, and I could easily argue the opposite. C-f-A is all over the country and yankees love the stuff when I've been up there. Zaxby's, on the other hand, is only regional and northerners wouldn't know about this restaurant. So quite frankly, you're acting like the yankee here pal. You must have those yankee taste buds if you want that sweet c-f-A sauce over that sweet nectar that is Zax sauce

Nothing special about zaxbys chicken imo. Their sauce selection is what sets them apart.
Add their sauce options to chickfila and it's not even close.
I do love buffalo though so it's dependent on what I'm in the mood for.

Such as Applebee's to let's say a Ryan's steakhouse. Totally different. Zaxbys is a nice sit down establishment that I may go to on special occasions like anniversary/pay day. Cfa is good in a crunch when speed is the goal. Agree Zaxbys sauce is better. If you're an Alabama guy do you have thoughts on guthrie's originally liked it better than Zaxbys

Oh, Guthrie's. I did seem to like it better at first due to the novelty of it. However, over time I realized that their sauce just simply did not stand up to Zax. Plus I didn't think their chicken was crispy enough for my liking
