Was the moment I came to terms with the fact that college football as it was is dead. Maybe I can enjoy what it has become, remains to be seen, but I know I’ll miss what it was.

How anyone who loves the sport and isn’t benefiting financially from the (short term, imo) boost in profits from realignment, expanded playoff etc. doesn’t see it is beyond me.

Only the young young generation thinks the current college football is as great as ever. They didn't learn about student athletes being given opportunities that they never would have been given based on grades. Because of that you built loyal players that fought hard for the team and the fans grew to love their players. Now the young entitled group thinks its great they are getting over-paid plus an education they really didn't earn academically because the entitled think they are owed by everyone.

These athletes have been given the opportunity to attend some of the best universities in the country free of charge. I couldn't afford to attend Clemson even though I had the test scores to be accepted. I had planned to attend Clemson later after joining the Marines, but I never got around to it.
All of this is to say that it's not accurate to claim that anyone has been exploited.

I thought ACC now stands for ‘All Coasts Conference’
West coast with Stanford and Cal
And SMU on the Gulf of Mexico coast.

I saw where SMU was playing and it just never occurred to me that it’s an ACC team. I still can’t get used to the fact that teams I have zero interest in are now in the conference.
