Maybe it was planned to be that way bc they weren't paid equally as other teams that had as many viewers Or, we just plain and simply crapped the bed....

Let's hope no prospective recruits were watching as we stunk up the joint.

I'm not sure team members realize it, but they are playing for the rest of the year for the future of the Clemson football program. I follow national media closely, and the consensus is largely on the side of Paul Finebaum, who says our future is in the past. What happens between now and the end of the year, and especially the games with FSU, Notre Dame, and South Carolina, will set the table for a bounce back or a continued decline. As long as Swinney is in charge the portal will be, at best, an infrequent add-on to the program. That means recruitment will continue to be the key, and that is where the now heavily tarnished reputation of Clemson, if things continue in a downward direction, will cripple the program.
Is Duke just one bad game, or a harbinger of things to come, and come, and come? We'll see.

That was a bad night. Things can snowball out of control very quickly.

Love that we draw so many eyeballs! Great for conference realignment.
Hate that we got embarrassed in front of so many eyeballs.

As totally honest as I can be, we're going to continue to have problems until Dabo fixes the position coaches more so than anything else while the talent is there, and before all that talent that we have starts crashing the portal looking for another place to play with top position coaches. Dabo created the mess, and only Dabo can fix it!!! And there's not a single doubt in my mind that our recruiting has fell off a little, and that is bc coaches with other teams are pointing out the lack of experience with some of position coaches we have to the recruit that we're also recruiting.
Coaches with other teams are telling recruits that we're after, that the NFL scouts also see it, and making the scouts less likely to give them a long look, and that turns some recruits away from Clemson. Just look back at the O Line recruits that we thought were getting, and at the last minute chose another school, and I honestly believe it's bc coaches are filling their head with how inexperienced our coaching are on that side of the ball....

all off-season for a new season to begin. I would have been shocked if it had NOT generated monster ratings.

First impressions leave a mark. Let’s get it cleaned up and hopefully change the narrative against Florida State

I knew it was big ratings, only about 50 non football fan co-workers brought it up the next day.
The hate for CU’s success is real - only one way to right it - win out.
