Good gracious. I hate to tell you, but if you think what they are doing on your phone is spying on you, and you are "against it". Then you might want to stop using a computer that is hooked to the internet as well. Your computer/ phone data use is likely being supported by AWS web servers. And there is a pretty good relationship between Amazon, Apple, Google, ####, etc.

If you are sitting back in your chair watching Fox on a "Roku" or other smart TV, you had to log in with a profile that is linked to another form of tracible signature, etc.. That is why you are getting adds for cruises or vacations, or whatever you have been looking for on your phone or computer, or TV. Yes that is not a coincidence. Youtube, Instagram, TiKTok, everyone and every site you go to is collecting data from you, and building out your "digital footprint/ profile".

That way they keep pushing stuff in front of you that you "like, enjoy, fear, or hate". They are trying to sell you something. For instance, how hard did you have to search, or was a certain Republican/ MAGA talking point served up or delivered to you this morning, while you had your morning coffee? Seriously, did that talking point that you read or watched this morning form pretty much the basis of your post today that you are now sharing with friends, family, fellow tiger fans right here on Tigernet? These tech companies know you do it. They just keep feeding you the ammo, and you just keep on sharing. Right, wrong, whatever, you just blast it out. Cant blame these companies, your providing the same service a computer BOT does. Your just paying for the electricity to get the message out. You get the dopamine hit feeling that you hurt the "libs", and they get the free electricity and communication from you.

I also would not put much faith in a VPN... I am sure they have that figured out to. Some where you agreed to something that is letting them collect data, and share it. Just beware, your computer/ phone is already infected. But you will not do yourself any favors if you chose to press the button that comes up as an alert regarding a virus when you visit those certain sites. You know the one.... You might want to put a piece of tape over that camera.

For anyone who hasn't already watched "The Social Dilemma" documentary on Netflix, it might be good to do so. It can help you understand exactly how algorithms and social media are structured to keep you coming back, and how dangerous they can be in presenting bias information to you on the regular. It helps to understand how they work and understand why you're seeing what you're seeing, and how they can drive people to the extreme edges of different social/political spectrums.

It's why I regularly suggest on here that people diversify their news sources and not restrict themselves to one source, one platform, one way of consuming news -- because it's highly likely that every individual source is trying to push you in a very specific direction.
