Solid list. I would take Khalil Tate or Tua over any of them

But I don't think Tua's proven himself over a full season...

yet. Sure, he saved the game against Georgia but can you rate him just based on that?

Yes, Tua singlehandedly won Bama the Natl Championship

with his play in the 2nd half. That game was over with Hurts in game. But Nick had the balls to play him.

That's only half a game. Uga. defensive coordinator didn't make the adjustments and had no game plan if Hurts came out.

Yeah, nobody's got a book on Tua yet.
It could be he's good enough even a book doesn't matter...but I'd be willing to bet there's flaws in his game we just haven't seen yet mostly because most quarterbacks do have flaws in their game.
Always-overprepared Alabama had a plan and package for Tua in the national title game based entirely on his strengths; the Georgia DC's did not have a plan for him.
I personally think Nick wants to see if he can get away with starting Hurts and keeping Tua as his ace in the hole for exactly that reason. The problem is that Tua is apparently beating Hurts like a drum in practice and Hurts' confidence has crashed so that may not be an option anymore.
We'll know a lot more about Tua once we get an extended look at him. Keep in mind he had the nation's best OL (by a lot) and the nation's most powerful stable of running backs behind him, and that meant UGA was absolutely loading the box and giving him all sorts of 1-on-1 looks down the field (with the nation's best upperclassman WR, Calvin Ridley to target as well)...but Alabama's OL, while always good, is not expected to be as dominant this year, and they don't have Ridley anymore either.

Ridley didn't do all that much during the title game, it was more the freshman receivers stepping up. Tua got away with some pretty dangerous throws in that one though that he probably shouldn't have attempted.
UGA's passing defense efficiency numbers last season really weren't all that great, in fact I think they may have been in the 40s. They got helped out a lot in their total defense by playing the really putrid offenses that made up the SECe last season. They did well against Stidham in the SEC title game, but as we sort of proved in our game against Auburn, Stidham when he didn't have Kerryon Johnson to shoulder the load wasn't really all that good.
I think Tua is probably a very good player but I'm not ready to crown him the best in the country based off one half of a game with some pretty bad blown coverages by the defense.

One for sure(and maybe both) punt protection guys for Bama pulled back before ball snapped. Really should have been 5yd penalty and Bama punts again. Can't just complain about one side of that play.

Some pretty good guys not on the list

Justin Herbert, Drew Lock, and Nick Fitzgerald to name a few.
The sample size on Tua is really, really small, but he had a lot of hype before coming in during the title game and then lived up to it. I think it's probably justifiable to put him the top 10 already.

At end of year, I hope 2 Tigers will be on list, and if based on talent alone, 3 could be there.
