NFL pukes who won't go into the game

Imagine a teammate telling #### Butkus he's not going into a game. I suppose we're fairly close to the day when a college player refuses to go into a game and just decides to not play anymore and wait on the portal. That's where we are with society and sports.
Auburn's QB room is just a living turnstile. As long as we fans keep watching and keep buying tickets... it'll only get worse. Marshall literally cannot even field a team for the Independence Bowl. And FSU basically didn't field a team for the Orange Bowl. Dunno the answers, but it's pretty ugly out there.

You know, there's a reason people who find problems get paid much less than people who find solutions

People can't find a solution until they know what the problem is. 1) define the problem 2) evaluate and measure alternative concepts to solve the problem 3) achieve agreement on the plan of action to pursue. In architecture we call that "programming", and it can be applied to any deliberation over "what do we/you do now?"

In architecture we call that "programming", and it can be applied to any deliberation over "what do we/you do now?" Of course, that can be a tough decision, but with buy-in from all, it becomes a consensus desision that all are accountable for.

There probably were players back then that wouldn't go back in as well. You don't know what their reasoning is at the time.

Well, I am not working for anyone and I don't support it at all. That said, it's not some new thing that someone refuses to work or play.

Agreed….!!!!! It’s part of the “candy- ####” world in which we live today. “Wokeism and Political Correctness” has become a big player in our everyday activities and decisions…..not so much mind but it’s part of this “you owe me” mentality that has permeated our society……hince NIL and portal. 🤬😡🤬

Again, somebody can't talk about sports without confusing it for politics.

So some random NFL player refusing to go into a game = wokeness and overly sensitive political correctness?
Sounds like someone touched a nerve in you.
Another way to spin it: We live in a free country.
If the dude wants to walk off the job, fine, fine. That's his choice. It might not be the popular choice, and it might come with consequences (like loss of respect from colleagues, getting kicked off the team, and losing your job), but if you're getting your panties in a wad about it being a symptom of an overly woke country... that sounds like a "you" problem.
Might be time to turn off the news and clear your mind if the talking heads are starting to seep into unrelated personal conversations.

Don't act like the league is full of those guys cause it happened once. He's a 3rd stringer on a one year contract late in his career. I'm guessing he was just cashing checks and not preparing to play as he shoulda been.
