Looks like they have closed the Hartwell Village and Greenville stores.

They have operated in Greenville as far back as I can remember. I remember them at Haywood Mall when it first opened in 81 and then at Greenville Mall before they moved further down Woodruff Rd to the Green ridge shopping center. Google says it is "Temporarily Closed" so maybe they are looking to move again.

It’s definitely not temporarily closed. Drove by a couple weeks back and there were “for lease” signs in the window. That’s outta my way and I hadn’t been by in a while so I figured I was just out of the loop on it closing.

Hamrick's- Their markup on Clemson merch is ridiculous. There is also Palmetto Moon at Haywood Mall but seems like they have carried less university stuff in recent years and more outdoor brands.

I really miss back in the day when Jewelry Warehouse (Columbia) had a Greenville store behind Haywood Mall with a huge Clemson/ Carolina annex. They were always more reasonably priced.

Bummer - - The Spearman family was a cornerstone for that downtown store for many years opening in '73 and then benefitting from the strong teams in the late 70s and then the natty in '81. A few years ago they got a curveball from the owners of the building at that location before they had to move down the street across from Jersey Mike's. Their son Mike was my roommate for a while when I was living in Issaquena back in the day and his dad, mom, brothers, etc made it a family business for a long time. Sad day when they sold t new owners a few years ago but it was best for their family. Maybe a couple more Nattys would help the new ownership in the Greenville market.

Moving to a shopping center with less rent would probably help. I would think the rent at Green Ridge (Greenville) and Hartwell Village (Clemson) with all those national retailers is probably insane.
