They should also put contracts in place with buyouts for transferring.

This is how coaches are handled. If the idea was to give players the same flexibility and mobility within the industry that coaches have, then the contract terms and buyouts should come with it.

Salary caps would also help reinforce a sense of equal competition and parity among schools.

What we're watching now is just an auction.
