Interesting 247 Composite Team Rank! *Again*

The composite ranking takes all 4 to 5 years of a teams classes and gives them a grade. Then in this poll they ranked it to other teams. I am surprised we have cracked the top 10 now. Last year and in 2016 we were a composite class outside the top 10; but still winning championships.
In case you mised it. To all the folks who don't believe Clemson has played talented players this season. I didn't say successful teams - but talented players!
Or rather - as talented a team as our competition in the CFP has faced. LSU being an exception - but we have seen on more than one occasions(more than a handful really) were a SEC commitment meant you got rated higher! Snap of a finger like change in your individual rating. Fields over Lawrence just a recent example.

Some of the 4 and 5 stars from some states don't seem the same to me. It seems to play out too when you start looking at where NFL players call their hometown. Interesting right!
***^^** please note also **^^ The other BIG thing this notes to me is - Ohio State isn't exactly playing loaded teams weak in and "WEAK" out either! They talk about the ACC like dogs; but the only thing keeping most Big 10 schools ranked and relevant is " Nostalgia "!
People showing respect to those teams traditional place at the table " if you will".

Thanks for pointing that out! That is such an underrated part of what our coaching staff has been able to do. Be choosy about who they let in.
We have lost some kids we thought we would get! Bryan Edwards being one. Montravius Adams being another. But, by in large we have been hitting on the type of kids we want. Not just collecting talent. The 3 star guys we bring in or gasp the 2 star or non-ranked guys we bring in are all what I call "extra grinders". They all likely come from the type of background that has taught them never give up and to grind hard for what you want. Plus, they come here knowing they may sit behind a 4 or 5 star. Clemson would be the best offer they would have received. Kids want "big offers"! Once a kid is here most won't be satisfied with just sitting; especially if they have some ability. So they they take the strength and conditioning and ratchet it up a notch. Probably more than some of the 4 and 5 stars who had likely grind- ed hard in H.S or it came naturally. This push they create makes the 4 or 5 star player not rest on their laurels. They have to work. They have to grind just as hard. This coaching staff will put a walk on on the field if they are the best player for the team! That has been proven and guys know it. Work for what you want or make no excuses when someone else starts or gets the bulk of playing time.
All of it goes to make the entire team that much better!
Fewer signings - but have probably had more preferred walk ons during the time(IDK - speculation).

Yep, all you have to see is uga and texas and fsu all stunk it up. What a reflection of your coach or is it the actual rating service. I’d say a little of both... we’ve got our 4 and 5 star busts too.
