Does Spurrier lose his Augusta National Membership if

he retires? I don't care what anyone says, for someone that plays golf, that is an enormous incentive to coach at SC. I'm not joking around saying he just cares about golf, but for a guy that likes golf, that's huge. I could see him staying if he loses privileges to play there when he steps down.

Anyway, just pondering when the OBS will hang it up.

Coach Spurrier is not a present member of Augusta National.

I don't think that he ever was to be honest. That's just something people cooked up and it sounded good so people bought it as the truth.

Steve Spurrier never was asked to be a member of the Augusta National. That may be one of the reasons that Spurrier went to USC, but it didn't work for him. Lou Holtz became a member while he was the coach at USC. That is what lured Holtz to USC in my opinion.
