At this point it really doesn’t matter about the pitcher. It doesn’t matter if it’s a lefty, a righty, a hard thrower, or a non power pitcher this Clemson team is just a poor hitting team. It is what it is . They have only 2 .300 hitters in their entire lineup. I don’t enjoy being negative, but you can’t just pretend this team has major offensive issues & I just don’t see it getting better, unfortunately.

Every baseball team throughout history has had ups and downs throughout a full season. Our hitting is definitely in a low right now. Hopefully it will peak in the postseason which has traditionally not happened for us. I’m still confident that this team will go a long ways.

Been saying it for weeks and getting criticized ! This team probably gets swept here, loses at least 2of 3 to FSU, loses to Coastal, and Va tech can hit so they will take 2 of 3. If you have been watching and being real this is not surprising , a blind man could have seen this coming. Sad how our hitters just stand there , bats in shoulder , and usually fail to even out the ball in play . This is not a team that will win a super regional. Probably fall to a 6-7 place ACC finish and out of top 8 seed for sure . Disappointing yes , but not surprising based on the lack of hitting and inconsistent pitching we have seen .

Don’t play Va tech… after fsu we play Duke at home and at Pitt to finish up… if we are going to struggle I’d rather it happen now so hopefully we can get on a roll again and in may get hot heading into postseason../ it’s all about confidence which no hitter has with risp at the moment
