1st round -draft picks are guaranteed rookie-scale contracts which means the first two years of money are guaranteed and the remaining two years are team options.
2nd Round- Significantly lower salaries and non-guaranteed contracts in the second round. Much easier for teams to cut guys loose rather than giving them time to develop

don’t disagree about playing for bad teams but the the choice is not really about playing for bad teams or good teams. The choice is starting in the NFL for a bad team or holding the clipboard for a good team.

I think it would make more sense to transfer than it would be for him to declare for the NFL. He is already a Heisman front runner, he should be even better than he was this year, and he will have one more year in a system he should be a master of by Summer next year. I just dont see why he wouldn't come back. Now if he transfers, that's another story. It is hard for me to believe he will, but if he does it signals real extreme problems with this program and NCAA football overall.

Playing for a bad team, being drafted with 1st round money and starting, is different than playing for a good team, walking around with a clipboard behind a guy and making less money.....

Cade was a three year minimum guy from day one. He's right on schedule but not ready for the NFL just yet.

If Cade declares he’s making a huge mistake.
His awareness is still not great and a 63% completion in college does not translate to the pros very well.
Accuracy you can’t coach. Either a QB has it or he don’t. He needs to come back and work on that.
His lack of high level awareness will get him killed in the pros. Cade needs to come back and with NIL now… what’s the rush?
He’ll be a Heisman front runner and could very well play himself into round 1. I see very little upside (other than $) for Cade to declare.
He needs another year at the college level.

Maybe Vizzina will be the guy we all hope he can be but it’s hard to let go of the guy you know. I hope to see CK2 back in orange next September
