but what are the legalities behind this? Taxpayer $ quite clearly targeted for a specific national candidate. Keowee, imagine if Kamala was schilling Bibles and your county used your tax dollars to buy them. Got it? Now be a hypocrite and tell us why it’s totally cool!

What I got from bretfsu® was that he was uncomfortable with the educational system handing things which relate to religion, 19B®.
I affirmed that position in my response below. You, Bret and I are in harmony on the subject though he and I are opposed to the government teaching any religion including Christianity and yours is a political reason.
I do not oppose your position. I simply do not care about politics the same way you don't care about things you don't care about things in some Baptist Church in South America.
Whether or not we can agree on why we agree is certain trivia and unfit for gentlemen.

He used the excuse of putting a Bible in every classroom. Then he set the criteria that only one Bible met his criteria.
I am a Christian.
1. I don't think the KJV of the Bible is the best version to use today.
2. I don't think a Bible should have political documents attached to it.
I won't go into detail here, but way too many Christians today have the attitude that Donald Trump is the man appointed by God to save America. And, if you don't agree with that then you aren't a Christian.

we'll be giving it our approval to determine a national religion which might be Hindu or Islam.
That is the foundation of this argument as said by Jefferson in a letter to the Danbury Baptist church in 1802.
"To messers. Nehemiah Dodge, Ephraim Robbins, & Stephen S. Nelson, a committee of the Danbury Baptist association in the state of Connecticut.

Jefferson and Danbury got this right. The 'wall of separation,' wasn't to keep the church out of government it was to keep the government out of the church.
If we consider that all our founding fathers were raised in a country with a nation religion you can appreciate that they'd experienced government controlling religion. Fordtunate Son could much better explain this because I'm positive it's simple history.
Imo, no one will do this while we have a SCOTUS unless we ratify out constitution.

Obviously a separation of church and state issue in public schools. Private schools can do as they wish

My children are grown so it bothers me less that it would have 25 years ago. This all broaches on the subject of politics which was something neither Jesus, His Apostles nor the first church ever had part in.

It’s kind of funny that they would do this considering all the books they nit pick and claim are unfit for children.
If the Old Testament were a movie it would definitely be rated R with all the violence and sex.
