Who is your all time favorite Clemson Tiger?
Dec 10, 2015, 6:02 PM

Could be football, basketball, or any athlete.
I've got a few favoriteS.
CJ Spiller, not only a great player, I give him some credit for getting the ball rolling on what we've experienced in football the last few years. (He was a huge get from the state of Florida.
Dabo Swinney, although he never played at Clemson, more than likely, he would have never become a head coach if he never played football.
The Fridge: need I say more?
Woody Dantzler
And many more

When he came to Clemson, there was an orientation of sorts that included getting your Tiger1 card. I handed him his card and told him we were looking forward to big things out of him. He smiled an innocent smile and said "Thank you". That is my favorite memory of him; even above the blocked kick/return at Wake.

While spiller was a freak and Sammy had moments, J Miller was the best at it. Ran hard up the gut and not scared to take or deliver a hit

Horace Grant. Played when I was there. Watched him change from good Freshman to dominant player. Super nice guy.

But seriously, that pretty QB trouble Reese or maybe actually Willie Korn was prettier.
But Daquan Bowers is my final answer.

Probably the best basketball player I've ever seen play for Clemson. Shame he only played one season (74/75 I believe). Was the first freshman in the ACC to be named first team all ACC.

Football #99 Jeff Bryant hands down

Started as Freshman, first one to pull Charlie Bauman away from Woody Hayes. Nasty, versatile DL who played everywhere on DL. 12 year NFLer, all with Seattle. Look at his '81 stats....staggering for a DLman and lived in the backfield. Lateral recovery saved NC season against Holes. A quiet beast and possibly the most underrated Tiger FB player in history. Jeff Davis is second, the best LB I saw with a Paw on his helmet. Anthony Simmons next, the best athlete on the team at LB. Basketball Greg Buckner and Trevor Booker, baseball Khalil Greene and Bert Heffernan.

Totally disagree with you, by the way. The epitome of being a Tiger to me is being a Tiger for life, continuing to represent and hype Clemson long after your playing days and student career are over. It is giving back and embracing Clemson family, and not just when there is something to be gained personally from it.
How involved are any of the people mentioned in this thread with Clemson today?

Both were beasts and mean as a rattlesnake. Eddie Mac took away the middle of the field because the other teams RB would not run up the middle after meeting him once. He was rabid. There is a reason he was in the league for so long. Like Dawkins.

The most electrifying man in college football Woody Dantzler. Watson is moving ever so close however. Still, Oh so many greats though I loved seeing. Played against Kirkland when I was a freshman. Dude was a beast. Gaines. T. Allen. T. Flagler. Justin Miller or Joe Don returning kicks. Nuk at WR.

As great as the recent players have been and as much as I have enjoyed the return to greatest. Its hard to replace my childhood favorites of The Judge, The Refrigerator, Dawkins, Kirkland, and Allen. If I had to name one player from the last 25 yrs it would have to be Spiller.
