Summer camps are designed for players to showcase their talents against some of the other top prospects.

Mario Neal is a run-stopping linebacker who has made a lot of noise in camps this year. "I earned linebacking MVP at the Florida camp, "says Neal.

"There were over 70 linebackers at the camp. I had to work very hard, because I was covering some very fast running backs. But I thought I covered them well. My pass coverage is the aspect of my game I want to work on the most."

The three Florida schools are the leaders with Mario right now. He is unsure of how his fall schedule will plan out. "I am interested in Clemson, but I haven't heard from the coaches up there in awhile. Miami, FSU, and Florida are all continuing to show a lot of interest."

In a spring jamboree, Neal had to stop one of the better running backs in the state of Florida. "We shut down Paul O'Hare from Dixie County. He is a very good running back, but I think we impressed a lot people with our defensive performance at that game."

Clemson will look to sign around three linebackers in this years class.

Neal is one of many talented linebackers on the recruiting board, but the Tigers have a lot of ground to make up on the Florida schools.
