Clemson landed its first 2026 pledge at a foundational position.
Queen Creek, Arizona three-star prospect Tait Reynolds announced his commitment to the Tigers on Sunday with a social media post. He is a former Arizona State baseball pledge who has seen his football star rise this offseason, camping at Clemson in early June and adding a scholarship offer. He also picked up offers this year from West Virginia, Texas A&M, Baylor, Duke, Wisconsin, Kansas, Oklahoma, Miami, Arizona, Tennessee, TCU, Washington, Florida State, Kansas State, Boston College, NC State and Oregon State. "HUGE thanks to my family, friends, teammates, and coaches who have supported me as I've chased my athletic dreams," Reynolds said on Instagram. "Big thanks to all of the college coaches who were willing to give me a shot. So blessed for the opportunity to play not just one, but two sports that I love at the next level. Beyond excited to announce my commitment to Clemson." 247Sports recently did a full scouting report: “Reynolds is a big, strong multi-sport athlete with some obvious upside to him. He’s not just a talented football player but one of the region’s top baseball prospects as well and committed early to Arizona State before backing off his pledge in late June. He has a strong 6-2, 210 pound frame and shows off a strong arm and the ability to get the ball down the field. He can run around and make plays with his legs and looks more like a fullback than a quarterback when he’s running zone read or gets loose in the secondary. He’s a tough kid who will stand in the pocket and take a shot to deliver the football and doesn’t shy away from contact as a runner although he’ll need to temper that some at the college level. He’s still raw in some areas as a pure passer and we would like to see him improve his accuracy as well as his TD/INT ratio. Right now, he throws a lot of fastballs and will need to improve on his ability to change speeds and throw with touch. He’s a gamer though and you love the physicality he plays with and the compete level. He’s still developing but the physical tools are there and it will be fun to see where his game is at in a few years.” Want to thank Coach Swinney and @CoachGRiley for the offer to play @ClemsonFB @QC_football @TSchureman @Elite11 @QCHS_Athletics @JUSTCHILLY @GunslingerBuzz @KyleMorgan_XOS @CodyTCameron @QCHS_Athletics @azc_obert @ZachAlvira @QBHitList pic.twitter.com/Ly3YrD8hrQ #ALLIN #Committed@CoachGRiley @TSchureman @CoachHowardQC @ClemsonFB @ClemsonBaseball @QCHS_Athletics @QC_football pic.twitter.com/h6uuh5Inpq
