Dabo will enter the top 20 winningest coaches of ALL-TIME in 2025.
Dabo is the winningest coach in Clemson history.
In 17 seasons. Dabo has the 3rd most wins for active coaches. He’s behind only Brian Kelly (23 seasons) and Kirk Ferentz (27 seasons).
He’s the winningest ACC coach in history.
He’s second in overall wins in the playoff era.
Clemson is #2 in playoff appearances.
Dabo is second in playoff wins.
He’s 9-1 in ACC conference championship games. He has more conference championships than any coach in history, passing Frank Howard with his 9th trophy this season.
He has two national championships and played for two others.
Clemson is one of two teams to finish with 9 or more wins for 14 straight seasons.
Clemson owns the FBS record of 14 consecutive seasons with a postseason win.
With 180 wins in 17 seasons, Dabo has the 7th most wins through the first 20 seasons in head coaching career in all of history. He’s currently behind notable historical coaches Tom Osborne (195), Nick Saban (191), Bob Stoops (191), Joe Paterno (187), Urban Meyer (187) and LaVell Edwards (183). In 3 years, he will likely be the winningest coach through 20 years in the history of the game.
He’s currently the 5th longest tenured coach in college football.
Clemson’s continues to be a national leader in graduation rates. The 99 percent mark ot the 2014 and 2017 seasons was the highest ever recorded among public Power Five football programs in the 20 years the NCAA has tracked the metric.
Obviously Dabo Swinney is a legend in the game. He’s the best coach in ACC and Clemson history. In the playoff era, he’s done more than any coach not named Saban.
In addition to all the accomplishments and accolades above - in the last 4 “down” seasons, he still has the 6th most wins among power conferences. A slight drop yes, but when placing all the accomplishments and accolades together, it’s clear Dabo’s salary is justified

I hope we keep Dabo until he’s 80 as long as he keeps winning. Good Christian role model for his players, and he cares about his players graduating and becoming a success in life.
He earns his salary with the economic impact his Tigers have on Clemson University!
Go Tigers, Go Dabo! Beat LSU!!!!

IMPO JK has always been friendly with me and never really seen any negativity in the depths that some on here has claimed him to be. When speaking of college sports especially there will always be fans that will love one of the 3 main college sports as in Football, Basketball, or Baseball more. It's has never been a secret that JK loves his basketball the most, and it hasn't been quiet on here with fans bashing Brownell up until he's had back to back good regular seasons.
I'll always took anything that I've read by JK to be a fan taking up for the coach in the sport that he loves the most. IMO to bash JK whenever he feels that "his favorite coach" is receiving more smack talk than in his opinion is more that he should, and knowing how our favorite Clemson sport can enter the soul, I just think that it's wrong to bash JK for defending his favorite sport and coach when any of us die hard Clemson fans would very quickly defend our favorite sport/coach whether it be FB, Basketball, Baseball, or even horse shoes bc through our heart we will defend our favorite's just as JK does and I personally couldn't respect the man if he didn't. The problem as I see it is some of you seem to feel that you're rights to defend the sport and coach that you love the most is the only opinion that matters over anyone else's feeling and I see it as he has just as much right as any of us, and more over the ones that don't support this site with yearly donations. Be a big boy and allow JK to have his say without bashing him every time he makes a post bc his every post isn't about defending our basketball coach or his program, and some of you are quick to jump him when he's not defending Brownell as our BB coach!!!
One more thing, I believe that JK is just as much a solid Clemson person as any of us on this site!!!

Clearly, you are selective in reading his rude posts about Dabo and other sports

He wrote multiple posts ridiculing specific football players. He wrote rude post about women’s softball team. He has had a plethora of anti and negative Dabo posts.
So, I take issue with your comments regarding him simply defending Brad and this tenure. It is pure jealousy regarding Dabo and the football team.
To not point all that out is appearing to try and whitewash his true character.
I agree he does like basketball and has clearly made excuse after excuse for Brads first 13+ years. The last 2 have been good, even with a horrible ACC. If that was all he did, then fine. But he is so much more than that. I believe that a portion of the Brad dislike is due to JK bashing Dabo and people simply pushing back.
Go Tigers!

Look at the economic impact on the University / Town.
He's created jobs, businesses, and infrastructure projects.

I totally agree that Dabo is a great coach, and a wonderful person. However, I have to say that no sports coach at any level is worth anywhere close to the $$$ that is being shelled out. Especially when you look at the pay scale for a first responder, fireman, cop, teacher etc. etc. Our world seems to reward our favorite entertainment of all kinds for some unfathomable reason. To me anyways.

Absolutely, we can live good and prosper without sporting events, but it would be pretty tough for us all without first responders, fireman, cops, and especially without teachers!!!

If you compare a CEO of a corporation with the same new sales, marketing, etc etc - it probably makes some sense. $50m+. I am not condoning the salaries. That ship sailed unfortunately, along with NIL and the portal.

Frank Howard's record for program losses.
The dogged consistency of outperforming our program budget ranking with end-of-season performance rankings for 14 consecutive years has no equal in the game, and may trump any college coach in any sport, at least mid-major and above. Pretty wild.

If you actually believe that FB coaches are worth every penny they are overpaid with, why in the crap are you not out somewhere with a sign protesting the crumbs that fire fighter's, cops, and teachers are being so under paid, they're worth to our society are way more valuable than sports coaches are even close to being...
