Former Clemson standout re-signs with Turkish team |
Former Clemson basketball player Sharrod Ford has re-signed with Acibadem University (Istanbul) in the Turkish Basketball Second League.
Ford averaged 17.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game last season. In 2014 for Paris-Levallois, he averaged 11.9 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Ford has had an excellent professional career overseas as he has played for over a decade with the following teams: 2005 Phoenix Suns 2006 Fayetteville Patriots 2006–2007 Alba Berlin 2007–2008 Sutor Basket Montegranaro 2008–2009 Virtus Bologna 2009–2010 Spartak Saint Petersburg 2010 Basket Club Ferrara 2010–2011 Sutor Basket Montegranaro 2012 Erie BayHawks 2012–2014 Brose Baskets 2014 Paris Levallois 2015 Acibadem He was a four-year letterman at Clemson University from 2001-2005 who earned third-team All-ACC and honorable mention ACC All-Defensive honors his senior season, as he played in 32 games and averaged 14.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 2.1 blocks and 0.8 steals in 28.8 minutes per game. In his career with the Tigers, Ford played in 118 games and averaged 9.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 0.5 steals in 23.9 minutes per game.
