Clemson sophomore quarterback Deshaun Watson was 30-47 passing for 405 yards and four touchdowns and an interception in the 45-40 National Championship loss against Alabama. He also had 20 rushes for 93 yards during the contest.

The 405 passing yards were the highest ever in a National Championship game.

He is also the first quarterback in NCAA D-1 history to throw for 4,000 yards and rush for 1,000 in a single season.

Deshaun Watson posted an inspirational quote from Malcolm X on his personal Instagram after the loss to Alabama.

"There is no better than adversity. Every defeat, every heartbreak, every loss, contains its own seed, its own lesson on how to improve your performance the next time."

It appears that Watson has a focused mindset going forward to make another run at a championship next season.
