I actually felt sorry for the Irish and the Dawgs. My thought was they potentially would have to play the No 1 and 2 teams (respectively) during the regular season and in their conference championship games; only to lose both times.

But it was just momentary. . .

Biggest difference, ND won't also lose to usuc during regular season! I could see Kirby laying an egg again for sure. ??
