The media person that keeps trying to start that chit up every chance he gets, I would love to be close enough to him to sucker punch him between the eyes, and when someone is helping him off his A$$, I would ask if he didn't see me stealing that punch in his now swollen ugly face!!!

Card, hand signals, chicken dance or smoke signal for the same 6 offensive plays ND and Miami run , (booger and Trevor matich think they're geniuses) suddenly the Clemson staff is Alan Turing's disciples?(for the coots he was a famous code breaker in ww2 read a book) How about this forget the signals come up with 5 more plays or don't, either way Clemson still wins.

Lol Alan Turing that’s great, I didn’t read the book but I did love that movie! Imitation is the title it’s a great movie. Insane how much that one thing affected the war and it’s outcome. #### saved D-Day and had a great deal to do with making that operation successful.

I just can't believe those media guy would stoop so low to make up lies to tell without any proof whatsoever that could possibly back up what they are lying about simply bc they aren't smart enough to come up with a legitimate questions to ask!!!

I mean if ur not cheatin’ ur not tryin’ Atleast that’s what I was taught! It’s a game within a game, and all that jazz. I’m a die hard like the rest of you but don’t u find it odd that CBV doesn’t send in the defensive call until the very last second? I mean sometimes it’s so late that our guys aren’t even lined up correctly or in some cases even looking at the ball bc their heads are turned waiting for the call it’s happened several times. Most DC’s give the signal in when the personnel walk onto the field but CBV waits til they are lined up and about to snap it. If we are stealing signals then bravo keep doing it and if the other team doesn’t like it well #### fire! Change it up! Learn how to send them in without tipping ur hand! It’s not our job to ignore it if it’s easy AF to steal them! I did like how in the Miami game if u go back n look when the broadcast showed the Miami sidelines while they were on offense a sign was hanging over one of the signalers that said he’s the signal caller. Thought it was pretty funny.
Also side note- I like how they are implying that if we couldn’t steal signals we wouldn’t be one of the top programs in the country.

Exactly how you said it! That is exactly correct.
It further aggravates you because you know TV will run some type of story on it. As if teams don't watch film to find tendencies. It's crazy!

Oh, I thought it was all about our QB's towels. I think they write the plays on them hence the need to swipe them.

This guy. I guess watching film for tendencies is wrong too? Certain personnel groupings and noticing you only run 4 plays when that group is in is cheating too?
Must be a N.C. State grad or something, dang!

And they're not doing everything possible to win games, they failing to do what they are being paid the big money to do, win games. But I really don't think that is why Dabo has made BV one of the highest paid DC's in college FB, it bc he really knows what he's doing when it come to coaching a defense!!!!!!

I’ve not seen much offensive creativity from the Irish...not sure we even need to steal their signals...
ND’s best chance to win this game ... Play lights out on defense ... Run the ball successfully and shorten the game ...
Neither of which are impossible... But also neither involve some creative offensive play calling.. Frankly Ian Book limits how creative they can be...

Much ado about nothing. I don't think Kelly was referring to Clemson specifically stealing signals when he said "We've lived it". I think it was more of a generalization of having experienced it in the past. Who doesn't take measures to ensure signals aren't compromised?

I see nothing wrong with his statement . I would certainly hope we would gain every advantage we can. Never refer to anyone our staff as the mad scientist. That was Rob Spence .

Agree, I would imagine every team has someone watching the sideline trying to decipher the signals.

Why would you say it's a "pre-emptive excuse for Kelly"?? He was asked the question...he didn't bring this up on his own as a complaint.

With all the complaints about Clemson stealing offensive signals you’d think Brent V or someone on the staff could double as a CIA code cracker.

If coaches are too dumb or naive to not change signals or disguise them, they deserve what they get. I guess neither the Miami or Notre Dame coaches have ever played baseball where signs are changed all the time. A bunt sign today may be a take sign tomorrow. As bad as our run blocking is sometimes, I wonder if other teams know what is coming too.

This is all Kelly needs to worry about. BV gonna give him the hammer, AGAIN.

If all it took was signal stealing to MORE THAN DOUBLE your opponents yardage, everyone would invest A LOT of time into it.

It’s not “stealing” if it isn’t against the rules. It’s decoding.

...about rules. Is there something actually against the rules to "steal" signs? I mean, they're broadcast in the open and then a play it run. College students oughta be able to put 2 & 2 together. Help a brother out, pls.
