To join Clemson. A good article repeating much of what has already been said by tnet posters.

I don't agree that BV should give up 50 million to leave OSU now. He will be given one year to turn the program around. If he doesn't he will be terminated and will walk away with 40 million dollars. He could then join Clemson as DC.

he might accept half that to come back. That's still a ton of money.

I’ve been thinking of this ever since we realized the impact of his absence

The fact this source is discussing it is good to me. I want the idea to be publicized and talked about.

Hard to not think about it if it surrounds Brent.

I don’t know his family dynamics with that kind of decision, but obviously it would need some thought.

I imagine it’s a weird thing to immerse yourself back into a university that you left with mutual respect and a friendly send off.

Even cried when asked first asked about Clemson after getting hired at Oklahoma. I think.

While I love BV - OK defense was bad and not stopping the run either.

Oklahoma could put a clause in the contract that BV can’t take another job for an X amount of time. Nothing can stop him from being an analyst.

I think one huge da** reason he shouldn’t that can override all your unknown reasons..is that he’s not a natural head coach. He’s best at DC. That’s that.

This, imo, is all a pipe dream. Getting Jeff might be possible but thinking both would return is beyond all but my dreams.

it's not completely unimaginable that both Scott and Venables would return. I could see Tony moving back to Clemson someday with or without a job. Jeff did and perhaps he is waiting in the lurch for a vacant spot.
