Who negotiated the contract

that we only broke even? Just wondering. Doesn't sound like much of a businessman, if what I have heard so far is true. Surely not the same person that put together another "contract" of late...??
I'm not even a business man so correct me if I'm wrong:
we assembled a complete baseball field and offered all other amenities, parking, ran concessions, etc.
Full use of the stadium with its tremendous capacity, one of the greatest in sport
we offered the use of some our traditions, including touching the rock (I know, I saw it was still in the case), running down the hill, etc. and even the name Death Valley, and display and use of the sancitfied Paw. Basically a lot of marketing copywrite kind of stuff, yes - Name Image Likeness
And I'm sure plenty of other things such as TV rights were involved, etc.
And we didn't clear any profit?
Something off here. But maybe I don't have all the facts.

Because they split concessions and Clemson made all the money on merch supposedly. Seems like a lot of loot.

Supposedly we only are going to profit about 250k. Is that bad? Sounds kind of weak.

Yeah if there were 80k there that means we basically cleared $3 per person which sounds pretty low.

Wasn’t it paid parking too? I understood Clemson got that revenue.

Someone wrote on here that they split that, but I wouldn't know for sure.

First, you cannot buy the publicity and good will that we got, second, businesses in and around town were just packed all day which is great and third, no way we did not make money on the game.

Dude Clemson doesn't need extra publicity. Our brand and the Paw is well known. One of the top brands in the country. You make it sound like Clemson plays in the Sunbelt or MAC.

Need all the publicity we can get..bake sales, bingo, and Christmas wrapping paper sales coming up..if there was no significant profit made this was treadware on our home venue and a net loss-

Exactly. These people have lost their minds. The SB have been around in their current form since 2023 and people think Clemson needs them to boost their publicity. Laughable!

The breakdown I read was we ran and received the money for concessions (food, beverages, alcohol), we kept any Clemson memorabilia sales, we received tickets sales that weren't general admission (WestZone, Masters Club, South Club and Suites), and parking. We had to pay for custodial, security, and the field.
The Bananas received general admission ticket sales and their merchandise, and they supplied the netting for left field. They organized the event and fan fest.
The article also stated that it would take a couple of months to reconcile all the numbers. But the low end of estimates was netting at least 250k after expenses. I think it will be more when all the numbers are ran. Plus the influx of money to the local area for gas, food, lodging, etc.
