A year after that he was in the movie The Midnight Man that was shot on Clemson's campus. I don't know if there was a connection between the hat and the later movie.

Let's not forget about the young coed who made her acting debut in that movie who would later go by the name of Daisy Duke.

Burt made a film here with some of it filmed on the old track that circumvented the present soccer field and below the YMCA.

Filming began Feb 13, 1973. That was my last year, graduated Dec 73. Recall walking by when they were doing that shooting. Seem to recall Burt and a couple actors attending a basketball game or two.

I knew Clemson as a name on the Gillette College Football Scoreboard. My dad told me they were a school in SC.

I wonder if the average person even knew what school it represented when they watched that movie.

When I first stumbled on this movie, years ago , it was showing on TV. I recognized it was filmed in Clemson as soon as Burt got off the bus and started walking, as I recognized the old post office, and a little later Bowman Field and Tillman Hall.

I wondered if, a few minutes later into the film, the "city" filming shown was over in Greenville, my home town.

I seriously doubt it but that's no knock on Clemson. They've come a very long way since then.

Lived in A7 and Susan Clark’s trailer was right outside our window. We engaged in a little chit chat with her. Went to Premier held a Clemson

Old Burt would walk out of an office in Tillman and walk to the end door and next shot would be of him walking out the door on to the streets of Anderson
