What's the deal with everyone having full voicemail boxes?

Is it like a status symbol now to make people text you or something? I don't get it. Business OWNERS, and doctors, lawyers, and indian chiefs of all kinds, full voicemail box. ###? These aren't the normal roofers, plumbers, pimps, loan sharks, and drug dealers, but legit responsible bidness people.
Just don't get it. My voicemail has never been full. Did Verizon ir AT&T just shrink the size of the voicemail box to like 5 messages or something. I don't even know how many would make mine full.

These people let it fill up so they don’t have to get any other voicemails. Plain and simple. Also I agree some of the people with full voicemails surprise me.
I have one voicemail on my phone and it’s from my Granny (RIP) from 2016 when she told me she would always be there for me. That’s it… I delete the rest.

Doesn’t matter anymore, but I would leave mine full so that my buyer wouldn’t be leaving me VM that I would never listen to anyway. Who has time for that mess?
I would leave it full so that he would text me instead. I rather a phone call than text. But rather a text than VM.

You call someone and they don't answer. Instead of leaving them a voicemail, you hang up and then proceed to text them, which clearly takes more time.
I hate it when people text me. Email me and I have a record of it, text me and it will get buried and lost unless I answer it right away, which I probably won't. If you leave a voicemail I will at some point in the day go through emails and voicemails and answer. I usually wait until there are 10-20 emails/voicemails before I go through them.
Now if I was not as busy as I am, texting might work.

“Not as busy as I am” - It takes literally seconds to type. I just did these two sentences in 15 seconds. So that point is moot.

I have worked almost exclusively remote since COVID started
I'm not 100% sure that I know how to get in and delete them
I also don't really listen to them on my cell phone
And what kind of buffalo but breath leaves a VM that simply says, "Call me back". It's those people that ruin it for everyone

tigermanac® ‘s response makes me wanna reduce his oxygen intake by 1% per hour until he suffocates.
He basically says I wanna make my BUYER do what is convenient for ME and not for the guy spending money with me.
Keeping a full VM box also shows incompetence regarding technology. Or could be viewed that way.
I have no way to relate to the “I keep it full on purpose” krewe.
