Cool video. You probably have seen enough of my posts to know I like some Blues and Jazz. I love Jimi's version. You have to think about the time he was in (and remember, he was part of the 101st). America was in flux, but isn't that always true about a free country. Loved how Jimi goes from playing the Anthem perfectly to veering into music and sounds
that resemble war and hard times. And then at the end goes back perfectly to remind us (doubly at one point) of who we are.

I guess the overarching point, without getting political, is we don't know what is going to happen. But, that doesn't have to be scary. Through faith the future is always hopeful.

Oh, and yes, beyond pearly gates and mansions I believe that Faith IS the gift of God...or maybe the Grace by which it is given is the gift. Either way, I am thankful for the gift.

of our times. Sometimes I allow it to drive me to anger and even worry.

When that happens I have to purposefully sit down and remind myself that, ultimately, none of this worldly stuff happening around me is as important as having a focus on God. All this "political noise" and attention to earthly power and control is all a temporary state of being by those that are obsessed with it. What really matters is staying focused on God and preparing for my eternity.

I have to remind myself that even though I'm concerned and care with what happens in the USA - I can't let it become an obsession/worry that detracts from the fact that my faith and relationship with Jesus is what really matters. I remind myself that the USA is a temporary residence and that my real residence with which I will spend eternity is in God's Kingdom that will be ruled by Christ. Whatever situation God allows to happen on the earth (and the USA) - I will simply do my best to deal with it in a manner consistent with God's word/direction and keep my ultimate focus on Him.

I guess what I'm saying is that at the end of the day - none of this earthly political stuff really matters. Our individual long term salvation through Christ is what really matters and earthly politics is but one, largely insignificant, moment in time of our eternal existence.

The world is going to keep spinning even if trump loses. We’ve been fine the last 4 years. We were fine the 8 Obama was in office. He did not turn out to be the Antichrist. Neither will Kamala. Trump maybe.
