Nada as far as coverage from NPR, PBS, NYT, WSJ, BBC, CNN, WAPO, Reuters, or MSNBC or whatever it’s called these days. These are the ‘news’ sources from where leftists and TDSers become ‘informed.’ No reasonable person can trust any of these outlets.
The victim was a 23 year old Ukrainian immigrant. However, she was white, so the liberals don’t care.

Democrats are hiding from this awful crime, in which the assailant had been arrested ~14 times before he committed murder, yet liberal policies in a ‘blue’ city … enabled this murder.
Where is the outrage from Democrat politicians over this murder? George Floyd died of a fentanyl overdose (this was revealed in his long-hidden autopsy report), yet the optics of a white policeman who had his boot on G.Floyd’s neck (also, the autopsy report that no damage to either the thorax or cervical vertebra) … I.e., standard police protocol to control unruly criminal suspects … led to incredibly conflated reporting to ‘prove’ systemic racism in America.
In other words, the media created a social crisis based on a false thesis about a singular event, yet when a real murder gets committed by a fourteen time criminal who got set free again 14 times, the same media suppresses that news because it reveals a social crisis that runs counter to the media’s ideology.

A black guy in a ‘blue’ city has criminal justice practices in which a fourteen time criminal … released after each crime … remained on the street. He then murdered a white woman whom he had never known and who, according to the video evidence, did nothing to make him mad. Why did this 14 time criminal decide to kill a white woman? There were plenty of black targets. Racism, maybe?
The main stream media would eagerly do a story to disprove any indication of reverse racial profiling if they could find any … just ONE … example when a many-times WHITE criminal got released each time by the local system of justice and then murdered someone. They’d have a good case to discount the (plentiful and growing) assertions of rampant enabling of black criminals.
Yet, those stories are also missing. Because no such cases exist.

If a white dude with an extensive criminal record stabbed a helpless black lady in the neck multiple times on camera, the name of the man and woman involved would be known by every media consuming person in this country. The legacy media would make sure of that along with a whole slew of "expert" opinions about how this was all because of Trumps rhetoric and was ultimately the responsibility of everyone who voted for him.
However when the races of those involved are reversed its not only ignored by that same media (since it is of zero value to pushing their agenda) , anyone who dares point out the obvious with regards to the media blackout is determined by the kooks to actually be the one with an agenda.

How much of a national story were George Floyd, Trayvon Martin or the dozen others just like them over the last twenty years before the media decided to make them a national story with 24/7 coverage? You are right about this. If this had been a crazy white person who randomly killed a young black female, it would most likely be a big national story. And, this is starting to get some national coverage, but most likely that is because she is Ukrainian.
The real story here, beyond the tragic event, is the fact that CMPD has had a reduction in force over the past few years and violent crime has increased.

Of course, the Charlotte murder had been arrested ~14 times before he killed the Ukrainian girl. That speaks to something other than just the police. Dystopian system of justice in Charlotte (and NC) is the other part of the equation.
