Wait who was the back who played in the early 80's who went on to have a good career with the Browns? Seems like he was #27, may have played FB but had speed. Kevin Mack may have been his name.

I feel he is a little underrated / overshadowed. He was one of the shiftiest backs I think I've ever seen at Clemson. I would be thrilled to have him on my "dream team".

People who never got to see fullbacks Perry, Sims, McCall, and Johnson play missed some amazing blockers and runners. Those guys could all break tackles and were hard to stop near the endzone. I can still recall their numbers 46, 31, 32, and 42.
BTW...where is Tracy Johnson?

In my 40 years watching the Tigers, I think he's the best I've seen...

If I were building a "dream team", ETN would be my number one. For 2 and 3 I wouldn't necessarily go next best, rather go with different styles. So like Preister or Gallman or James Davis could give me some muscle when needed, and someone like Andre Ellington or CJ could bring the elusiveness and speed. Two and three would be harder to pick than one.

I agree with most on the lists but I will say I’d love to see spiller on the teams Travis was on… I think Travis is the best all around back we have had but ppl seem to forget how explosive spiller was. Watch a few highlights that speed and those moves were un real. I’d have him like 1b behind Travis at 1a simply bc Travis played on much better teams with WAY better qbs.

I know mine has nothing to do with stats or any of that, but my favorite Clemson running back is Ronald Williams. The reason behind it is, He is also from my hometown of 96 and as a kid I thought he was amazing, and I followed his career at Clemson and then to the CFL.

He was outstanding and if things had been a little different and he had stayed at Clemson, I think he could have had a good NFL career.

You could throw Vinnie Circiru and Pat Cyrgalis in there too.... FBs. Vinnie became an NFL LB after transferring to BC and Pat was switch to TE in 1999.

Javis Austin around the time Zachery was here in the mid to late 90s..... he was the man under West after Preister left and got beat out by Zachery when TB came in.
He went through a rough patch around that time and ended up losing his right eye. He's back with the program in some capacity, I recently saw.
