That’s a big shock. Ole Miss wouldn’t survive without transfers.

This is a terrible take. In general, I would expect players to perform better after leaving for a variety of reasons. It is strange that you would try to imply that it's because they get better coaching elsewhere or that our coaches play players that are lower quality than those that transfer out. Reasons players that transfer should perform better 1) They are older and should have developed more - regardless of who is coaching them. Experience usually leads to better performance. 2) They probably have more play time opportunities (many leave due to being behind on the depth chart and get to pick an opportunity that is more advantageous for them)
However, lets look at the history and even see if the hypothesis of DBs leaving Clemson usually doing better is even true:
- 2024 - Andrew Mukuba - Toriano Pride - Lannden Zanders - 2023 - Malcom Greene - Fred Davis II - 2022 - Joseph Charleston - Ray thornton - 2021 - Derion Kendrick
Makuba was a heck of a player for us, he transferred and based on reason 1 above continued to be a solid player. Toriano Pride was a good player for us, but behind other good players. He left when he had an opportunity to potentially start (maybe concerned about competing with a freshman?) and left. He had similar stats to his time at Clemson despite not being a starter here. Lannden Zanders never got picked up by anyone. Malcom Greene - Stats declined at UVA compared to his time at Clemson despite reasons 1 and 2 above. Fred Davis II - was a good player for us, got into legal trouble while here, but wasn't picked up...sat out a year and ended up at Jacksonville St. Joseph Charleston - Was a good player for us and had an even better output at Mizzou, probably due to reasons 1 and 2. Ray Thornton transferred to USF, had 3 total tackles and then transferred to UAB and did better, but he was older than when he was at Clemson and playing against weaker competition DK was kicked off our team, but had tremendous success at Clemson and continued to do so at UGA
The data just doesn't bear out your theory... care to rebut?

Yeah, I think it's fair to put some of the blame for Mukuba leaving on Wes. But not Mike Reed. I think he's been outstanding. In my opinion, he's been the best position coach at Clemson over the last 5 years or so, and I don't think it's close. The rest of those guys were either nonfactors or brought about the end of their time at Clemson due to off-field troubles.

It’s funny how yall are quiet on the Nix kid who’s a walking and yall are critical of this kid. This is why Clemson isn’t getting the high level recruits anymore.

A) Clemson is getting high-level recruits B) Nix was a walk-on, his departure is not impactful C) Where in this thread is anyone critical of Feagin?
What are you talking about?
