11.23 doesn't sound like D1 speedy to me.

WRU seems like a distant memory.
I hope Dabo is working his charm and helping Grisham and Spiller recruit because they are both really struggling!

Keep up all the positive remarks about our coaching staff and maybe you can convince him to go play for Coach Stepp in Columbia.

Understand what you're saying but if a kid really bases his decision off of social media then that ain't good. I can promise you, they're hearing a whole lot worse from the other coaches. Difference between now and 5 years ago, the coaches we had on staff could refute those claims with their successes. Now we're back to just Dabo and a lot of trust.

They expect to hear it from the coaches from other schools, that’s nothing new. What is disappointing is our “fans” saying negative things about our coaches. What good does it do?

Telling the truth is now wrong?? C’mon look at the talent level we have at the skill positions and that’s a big reason the offense stunk. Guys cannot get open. Any time a Swinney is on the field it shows how awful the talent level is.

Well, the assumption would be that the 100 would transfer down to a 40 time. Would like to know his 40 time and his hang time too. All important but I think more importantly is how he runs routes, does he maintain the speed in the 3rd or 4th quarter. How physical does he play etc etc. If all those boxes are checked then you'll see offers from all the top schools.
Last cycle by comparison, we wanted Innis who ran like a 4.6 40 but his shuttle time was 4.4 and vertical was 31. But what pushed him into the 5* range was his incredible ability to run routes which all the services rated him a 10 on. That's one thing that Jeff is so good at identifying. So I could careless if the fella runs a 12 in the 100 if the other measurables are there.
Have to trust Grisham can identify those other qualities.

Good info. To take it step further Spiller ran a personal best of 10.22 at Clemson. Jacoby Ford ran 10.2 in HS and then a personal best of 10.01 at or after Clemson. James Trapp ran 10.03 at Clemson so he is fast as Ford and also 6' tall. Plenty of burners in the past but nothing lately. Not sure over 11 seconds really falls into the fast category but as long as he's 6'3" with a big vertical and can high point the ball then that would be great. Scratch that, he's both small and not that fast. OK, so he's another 3 star player.

In the NFL, the fast guys go about 10.8h to 11.3h and the skilled good hands guys can make do with 11.0h to 11.6h. The World Class guys (Tyreek Hill, DJ Metcalf) are in the 10.2 range. Hill's fastest time is 10.19. But remember this young man is only 16 years old and is working on his speed at a good size as well (6'1"). If he clocks 4.5 or better in the 40 he will be as fast as Mike Williams (4.51). This would be a good add for sure!

May be a great player but those times aren't anything special speed wise.
