Pretty sure one of our punts was 33 yards. If that’s our punt team’s best game that’s not very good. It does seem like we don’t pin teams inside the 10 after punts nearly as often as most teams.

Well all I can say is I have quite a few Pitt fans around me that were scratching their head and calling for nardoozis to fire the D coordinator. Like 2 of them at church said, what idiot DIDN'T know that Cade was going to run.

This idiot didn’t. No time outs, held to 8 rushing yards to that point in the game. It was a gusty call that worked. Our offense was pretty predictable all game and that call definitely caught everyone by surprise. Give Dabo/GR/Cade the credit, don’t put it on their DC.

We'd be having an entire different convo about Dabo and GR with that hideous 4th down play where they called a pitch to the short side of the field. That was elementary play calling! Glad Cade have some jets!!

Yeah, I didn't like that call at all. That said, I did want to see more pitches and WR runs to attack the boundaries, but that was a bad spot for it, and going weak side... go strong side and get two extra blockers and more space, but... I don't know man. I'm also not a fan of how we just abandoned the run all together. Even if they are selling out on the run, sometimes you gotta just put a hat on a hat and out physical them. That's part of the problem with GR, if a team sells out on the run he abandons it. If they go two high safeties he abandons the pass. It's like he doesn't scheme to beat a playstyle, but instead just gives up on what they are scheming towards, and makes us one dimensional and predictable beyond belief.

But we clearly weren't going to "out physical" them. We had several backups on the OL and Mustafa is not 100% for some reason. When they were constantly putting 6-7 guys in the box, we were never going to open holes with that motley crew

Parker had a great game, but he was also solid last year as a freshmen. One great game against an unranked team is not raising eyebrows for NFL scouts when he isn't eligible until 2026 draft
