We often criticize the NIL, but I think we forget sometimes that in general it is a good thing for the athletes. We just don't like the wild west effect it has on the sports that we love. I doubt that Woods or Parker would have been in a position to give to the extent that they did before it.

Hopefully, in the end this will end up as a net positive for the Moore family. I had a house fire years ago and the love and support from my community, changed my outlook on things forever. I pray that it has a similar effect on the Moore family.

I don't want to be that guy, but I have to get this off my chest. CDS could afford to build these people a new home out of his spare change on his dresser. Come on man?!!

Would that be in the guidelines of the NCAA?

Yeah, he and the other coaches would do it in a heartbeat. And I'm sure all our staff have donated generously.

I remember a coach in the sec that had a similar situation and helped out a family etc... don't remember the details but it became a huge deal.

That said, I'm sure they've donated to a church charity. Seems like it could be worked out where said funds would go to certain places.

Guidelines???? What guidelines? Other teams tamper without any resistance. Without a doubt, CDS could line up some ad deal that would overpay them for their time. And as far as others who might try to exploit the shituation, when other players lose everything as described by this article, then they may receive the same benefit. I'm not saying a player or a player's family deserves a bailout if one of them gets a hangnail. And take your TD and shove it

And how would he ever draw the line between who he can help and who he can't when it comes to his players and every time a need occurs, assuming there was even a compliant way to do it? It seems so simple but it really isn't that simple...

Clearly losing your entire home would qualify. No gray area with this one
