the expanding of new teams devalued tickets. this was a major event for four decades or so. you used to have to know someone to even think about tickets. TV's in the middle/high school classroom were always tuned in to the tournament. it was such a huge event.

get a ticket easily because no one wanted to see Clemson vs FSU in play in game. But you're right, its used to be a tough ticket to get your hands on.

Great memories of Greensboro and people working the stands holding 2 or 4 fingers wanting to buy from the team that was or had lost. Also you did not have to commit to so much time to see so many boring games like now. It was a lot of fun and over in 3 days.
