That sounds great. More quality, experienced players to watch on Saturdays

So how many years does that give T Smith? Could be good for us. Kid looks like a baller.

Do they even bother to make them attend class anymore? When’s the last time you heard about someone losing eligibility for academics? May as well just drop the student athlete ruse. 90% of these guys have zero interest in being a student or earning (being given) a degree. I miss college football.

Try watching games. This week the Penn St-Oregon, LSU-Ole Miss and Alabama-Georgia games should be great. Football is still the same great game it always has been.

Fast lane I’ve made that same point many times. When is the last time you heard of a player being academically ineligible? I played college ball and every single year we would have a few who did not make the grades and had to sit a year. Never happens now!! Yet we still pretend these guys are college students.

Eve back in the 90s the stars had special circumstances with GA’s administering tests at convenient hours due to their schedule and they were “multiple choice with encouragement and feedback” situations instead of the standard classroom format. The classes many of them attended were high profile and for politics, so even then it was extremely hard to lose eligibility, I can only imagine how far its dropped these days. There are, of course, athletes that do want to learn and get a legit degree in contrast to the ones that just pass through.

The courts previously ruled that NCAA football was a business.

It is just a matter of time before "eligibility" is no longer a thing. I am sure they can find a reason to sue to get that tossed just like amateur status. Age discrimination etc.

So does that mean we get Tristan Smith an extra year now?
