So it’s ok to discuss men’s basketball and baseball in a football forum but not softball? Maybe they should rename this forum “For Men Only”. I’ll pull for anyone wearing a Clemson uniform! Go Tigers, all of you!

I care about softball , and all of the other athletic endeavors that Clemson University is involved in. Though I think it is unwise to tie myself up with the successes and failures of the various sports teams , I support them (both financially and emotionally) because this is the path I chose as a young man. I think so many Clemson fans live and die with these same ups/downs of their beloved Tigers they are willing to deny caring about those who are doing poorly or that are at least percieved as doing so.
Easier to pretend you don't care about something that you obviously do than to admit to yourself that it's ultimately only a trivial pursuit to begin with , however painful the lows or jubilant the highs.

Whether you care or not is irrelevant, the ladies on the team care. So do a lot of the people on T-Net, we support all of our athletic teams and follow most of the pros in their future careers. It doesn't matter if it's golf, tennis , baseball or football, we stand behind the young men and women who represent the Paw.

I don’t understand that thinking at all. Anytime a student athlete puts on their Tiger uniform I am going to care. I do not watch a lot of women’s soccer or lacrosse games except when the Tigers are playing …….. and then I am interested.

I guess that is why softball sells out so much.
Like many others, I care about all Clemson teams, regardless of the sport.

I heard Rittman say the way the ACC bracket worked out we haven't played anyone yet that is on our side of the tourney bracket. I hope stayed hot during the pre-tourney layoff.

Softball is peaking at the right time

Overcame a rough start in Clearwater, but has really come on strong when it counts. Not to mention we have the ACC Pitcher of the Year and the ACC Rookie of the Year as well as 3 or 4 ACC First Team players and 2, I think, on the third team.
I'm hoping these ladies can keep it going and accomplish some greatness in the ACC Tournament this week. They have the talent to do it.
And if you're don't follow Clemson softball - it's your thing, but it's also your loss. Very exciting group of athletes who are representing Clemson extremely well! Same with lacrosse (which I don't fully understand, but have enjoyed keeping up with, especially now that they've made their first NCAA tourney in just their 3rd year).
Go all Tigers!

I think the rough start, playing good teams, was actually good for our girls. I was not so quick to jump on Rittman, as some here were because his track record, in my opinion, deserves letting this season play out. Like some more mature (older) coaches that take new jobs, I never thought Rittman came here just for a paycheck and to loaf his way to retirement or until he was let go. I think he was dedicated to making Clemson Softball a national contender. We are not there yet, and we may never get there, but it won't be because of the foundation Rittman has established.

It's downtime in football. Always thought the rule has been on here it's ok to discuss all on this board during downtime.
