Spectrum mobile vs Verizon

Pros and cons for each? We have had Verizon for years but looks like Spectrum would be significantly less expensive. Not wrong bored because one of my biggest issues with Verizon is reception on Saturdays in Clemson.

Other thing to factor in is that 5g wasn’t available until iPhone 12 and beyond and the carriers are all tuning the towers for 5g. All carriers have also eliminated the 3g coverage. Newest phones will help a lot and the best way to get those is to switch carriers.

Found spectrum better reception. Not sure why. Our family has saved $$$ going to spectrum phone and internet. About 1000. Annually

We are canceling our spectrum TV and going to YouTube TV. We will be keeping Spectrum internet and during the conversation the guy told me what their plans and discounts are on mobile and it looks like it makes sense to switch. I hate making frequent changes on these things but it looks like the only way to get the good deals.

We signed up for YouTube TV on Labor Day so we could watch the Duke game. So far so good. Waited a month to cancel Spectrum as a trial period. Now looking at mobile service.

just switched to AT&T because the cell reception and call quality in our neighborhood is so lousy (dropped and garbled calls), and Verizon either can't or won't do anything about it. In fact, everyone in the neighborhood who is a Verizon customer has the same problem. Some families were given network extenders but Verizon told most households they would have to pay upwards of $200 for the network extender. However, if and/or when the power goes out, the network extenders are worthless. No problems with AT&T at least so far.

My wife has a lot of problems with dropped and garbled calls using her cell phone inside our house. We have the same phones, iPhone 10s, phones are same age, and same Verizon plan, and I don’t have nearly as many problems with mine. Just weird.

Doing that will takes you calls off the Verizon network and routes them through your internet connection.

for a $75 a month savings and is doing the same job for me.
Now Owed & operated by 2nd largest mobile phone supplier company in U.S.
Paying $30 a month for unlimited coverage and they have a $40 & $45 month plan for 5G plan.

Yep, we had the same problem in our neighborhood. Verizon sent and engineer out after I kept complaining. According to him, the signal in our area was weak.
Verizon then sold us an extender for $200. It did not help one bit. Sent it back. This problem started around 2019 and lasted until late last year. Then, mysteriously, we have great reception again.
Thought about Spectrum too. It would save me about $100 a month. Just switched to You Tube back when the contract issues with Disney were going on and haven't experienced any problems. Was paying $257 a month for Spectrum. You Tube is $72.

Several years ago we switched to Spectrum from Verizon for $ reasons. I knew they used Verizon towers. However our reception inside our house was not as good as previous. After a year or so of having to make/take some calls outside I gave up and we switched to Consumer Cellular which was AT&T towers. No problems since and their customers service is splendid….Americans in America.

The Spectrum pricing sounds great at $29 with a free line for a year. But I trust Spectrum about as much as I do the Coot football predictions on FGF. Spectrum is famous for their rate jacking and poor customer service. I'm in Florida and have been with T-Mobile for the last few years; good rates and service.
