So ACC expects a $500mil exit fee. At 2024-25 expected payouts it would take around 13yrs for FSU to make that much from ACC and only 6yrs from the Big10. Explain to me why any court would not find in favor of FSU and Clemson.
The entire ACC should immediately file suits, ACC should file bankruptcy, let the football teams go independent like ND then create a new conference for all other sports as a conference. Let ESPN suck wind and crash the crappy ACCN and eat it. Let schools sell their home games to the highest bidders.

You must have been a great person in business to take a contract so lightly! Mommy I don't have as many toys as that little boy next door...I need a new daddy!

My suspicion is you work for the ACC office. You love to speak negatively against Clemson and FSU in reference to the GOR. Would be a shame to be outed on a public forum.

As the article points out and is clear as day to everyone, the ACC has no reason to settle. Nothing has happened in the court cases to this point that puts any fear into them.

Bad contract...don't sign it...don't take their money for 10 years, then decide it's a bad contract and you were defrauded to spend all that money because there is more money somewhere else...want your recruits to be loyal to the school but you want to jump around to the highest bidder...all prostitutes just negotiating the price! We want to sleep with the SEC cause they pay more!

Well I could go out on a limb here and say “a lot” has changed since said contract was signed. Not sure if it will hold water in the court of law but being this far behind financially is not, what I would believe to be, what any of these schools signed up for.

I don't expect much to come out of this as long as the ACC thinks that they can get the case in Florida thrown out and the actual case will be heard in NC.
But, it is just one more step in putting pressure on the ACC to settle. So, it is a good thing. Just don't get your hopes up thinking that somehow in a week or two the ACC will come to an agreement saying, "Just pay us $100 million and you can leave."

Nothing to come out of it. It's just for show as the judge ordered it

ACC is gonna delay as long as they can. Whatever happens will be settled by a judge.

The title should read “FSU and ACC begin court ordered mediation while litigation continues”. They are nowhere near settlement.

For some reason, I feel the case in Pickens County will be the first to put the dagger into the ACC.
