Softball over baseball

I’m sorry but am I the only one who thinks it’s ridiculous that the softball game on Sunday is on tv and the baseball game isn’t? Baseball should always be the priority on accnx over softball. ALWAYS.

Wow didn’t even realize this. Looks like it’s only two home games but very annoying.

I find that hard to believe. Seems like almost every regional game is on tv for baseball. I could be wrong her but don’t they just show the supers and softball World Series on tv? Any chance you have a link that shows softball is more popular then baseball bc I just can’t believe that. It may be but as a die hard baseball fan I’m not sure how any sports fan enjoys watching softball over watching baseball. Except for maybe ex softball players.

They show just as much college baseball as college softball. And they have MLB on a ton, so saying softball is more popular than baseball is an absolute fabrication. That’s not even close to true.

its alot easier to watch softball as the game is shorter and moves at a much quicker pace. Its usually quite a bit more lively in how the dugouts get into it. I have family members who have played softball and am used to watching it and I think skews my mindset on it.
If I was going to sit down and choose between games, I'd choose Clemson baseball every time. But, if I want a quick fix of these sports and a casual game is on...I could easily watch softball.

edge their IMO. Plus I think college softball has become a success for TV - games are shorter, entertaining, etc. . It seems like there is more softball than college baseball on the main espn channels - that may be my imagination and I'm wrong but if not yet, it seems to be trending that way.

I do find them easier to watch because of the length. And with the mercy rule they're even shorter a lot of times. I love baseball, professional more than college, but they can be so hard to watch sometimes because they're so long. I don't have that good of an attention span any longer.

It doesn't really "bother" me so much as I find it a little peculiar.
Baseball big-time sport nationally, with even marginal MLB players earning multi-million dollar contracts. College baseball is a big-deal at Clemson. Clemson's baseball program is top-10-15 all-time nationally.
Getting offered a Men's D-1 Baseball scholarship is no easy task, especially in the state of SC. Conversely, obtaining a Women's D-1 softball scholarship in relative terms is much easier. It's a numbers game, more high school boys compete for athletic scholarships than girls. I've seen both sides of the coin and the competition to garner D-1 baseball/softball scholarships isn't very close.
Obviously a television executive somewhere has decided they'll get ratings.

The softball team still has that new car smell so naturally they might want to show a few games into the inaugural Clemson softball season
It's not the end of the world

Lol well I feel like it’s the end of the world! I have to work most of the games so I look forward to being able to watch the replay when I get home. When you can’t listen or watch live and all you get is the box score it sucks. You don’t even get a highlight reel off of YouTube either bc it wasn’t on tv. Just a bummer all around.
