when do players officially declare for NFL draft ?? Should these dates not lineup somewhat closely so teams can adapt, use portal to fill positions ??
I am sure I could look it up but at work and enjoy TNET so much that I know someone has this information..... My concern is the portal closes in a few days, and if one of our guys declares for draft late it can leave us or any other team in a bad spot without depth, quality depth.
I think some of these new ideas are just experiments without much input as to how it would work in the reality...all these dates need to line up for the best interest of not only the player, but the institutions and college football in general.

and hopefully concentrating on helping their teams win...but the portal timing puts them in bad positions, such as the Penn State backup QB who left...
Now I do not agree with the portal, think it should still be a 1 year period before they can join a new team if they had already committed to a team.
Cade has so much going on in his head as a young man...draft option, portal with very lucrative offers I would assume from high paying schools (he would start at pretty much any school in SEC/B1G). CDS and his family I am sure have given advice to the max and he seems like a very smart guy, and Clemson needs him to come back and with some improvements here and there they can be special as Coach said
