and the other has only one loss. that would mean one gets left out in the proposed deal.just because they dont have the right logo on their jersey

In theory wouldn't the 3rd team get that remaining at large spot assuming they are ranked hire than ND or the 5th ranked team in SEC or BIG.

what if the big has a very down year and has only two teams with 3 or less losses? i mean givng them four automatic bids along with the sec is inanity

Good point, but not really for that reason. The OP said 2 go undefeated, the other has 1 loss.

The Clemson-FSU game alone won't prevent that scenario.

BUT - the fact that FSU plays both Clemson and Miami every year would make it impossible for the scenario to exist.

talking about Clemson, SMU and Miami being 8-0 and someone left out of the ACCCG. That scenario is very possible in a 17 team league. You could have 13-0, 12-0, 12-1(champ game loser) potentially happen. The leagues are too big to limit to 2 teams with 1 at large that is sort of pre-designated. It needs to go to 16 or 24 and no league has more than 2 or 3 guaranteed.

The proposed deal doesn't limit the ACC to 2 teams. It guarantees at least 2 teams.

But, with only 1 at large spot, there's a slim chance of the ACC getting a third team.
