So let me get this straight.

We, the #3 team, should drop because we "only" won a conference game, on the road, on a Thursday night, by 12 points. Yet most of the rest of the top 10 either struggled worse than we did or played a nobody. Consider:
#1 Alabama is struggling with a crappy 1-2 Colorado State team at home (currently up by only 11 points).
#4 Ohio State dominated the always tough Florida A&M University.
#7 Louisville played the illustrious Florida International University.
#8 Florida State beat up on powerhouse Bethune-Cookman.
#9 Georgia only beat North Texas by 24 at home.
#10 Texas A&M is currently playing Southern Methodist University.
It will be ridiculous and extremely unfair if we drop in the polls. We won our game, and we won rather easily. Trying to extrapolate how other teams would have played against NC State, or how we as the #3 team should have played against NC State, is stupid. We did our job.

they are not an example of a top 10 team who either struggled or beat up on a nobody.

Don't mention Alabama. They're unbeatable. They're the best team ever assembled. AJ McCarron is on par with Jesus! Don't mention the fact that they're 0-8 on 3rd downs tonight. Don't mention the fact that Oregon would absolutely destroy them if they played right now and cause Liar Nick Saban to have a stroke right there on the field.

A drop is good for a lot of reasons:
1) gets us off the hype machine 2) we'll get more focused now on business 3) Have a chip to play for
All is good, as long as we.... win.

can't stand out and kick ###--when it looks like we could have. No, our QB has to throw wildly the entire first half so we fit in with the rest of the struggling team. Thanks! Now I feel better--not

This year, the only poll that matters is the BCS poll that

comes out in a few weeks. The AP and coaches polls will move around a bunch between now and then. AP poll is a bunch of beat-writers with an agenda! We will be fine if we keep on winning.

That was funny how you used Alabama as one of your examples. Good lowered - have you ever watched Alabama play football. THEY DOMINATE IN EVERY PART OF THE GAME. Bama was never worried about that game. It was Bama playing a team that is now HC'd by a former Bama coach. They were not going to disrespect that man by running up the score. They were gentle and still blew CSU off the field.

Doesnt matter if we drop a little.. just keep winning. We need the offense to find that sharpness factor the next few weeks because we will have two tough games in a row... that road trip to Maryland after the FSU game continues to look dangerous. Consider...
1. We beat FSU > Feeling super high, cant be stopped, coast into the SC game. Maryland could hit us hard.
2. We lose to FSU > 2011 NC State game effect. deflated, feeling down. Maryland could hit us hard.
So either way, the coaching staff will have a lot of work to do come October 20 to get us ready for that one.
