but he also struggled at a program with superior coaching and talent, so I doubt his stint in Slumbia is going to result in his suddenly being some kind of all-world QB as uof7c fans would have you believe.
Of course, it seems that every time they land a QB he is immediately affirmed and proclaimed to be a combination of Joe Montana, Tom Brady, and Peyton Manning all rolled into one, a sure Heisman winner, and the deliverer of the program who is going to lead them to the promised land of State, Division, Conference, and National Championships.
I've seem this movie enough to know exactly how it's going to end.

An upgrade in talent at QB but a bad offensive line. It was bad this year and they lost some of those players. Rattler will not be the answer for them. I look for him to leave after 1 year when he sees what's there.

Yes it’s not a 1 man show. Takes 11 last I watched. Need a good OL, running game and someone to throw to. Same song different year. Maybe great but history says average. If he was great he would still be at Oklahoma.

but if their O-line pass-protection is poor and their receivers aren't good, he won't be much better that what they've had.
When he has time, Rattler is far above-average than most college QBs under the same conditions. However, pass rushes quickly degrade his performance down to the mean (and below). He does not handle pressure well at all. When he makes mistakes, he doesn't have a short memory which causes him to lose confidence.
Few here would understand the illustration, but think of Andy Dalton during his peak years with the Bengals. Some games he looked like a superstar, top 5 QB because his O-line held up. Just amazing. Other times he would throw some INTs that just made you wonder what in the world he was thinking.
