Seen it coming

Jun 26, 2010, 12:19 AM

You can not pitch a freshman in the biggest game of Clemson's baseball history while your ACE sits on the bench.

Terrible coaching decision tonight by JL. Even my 12 yr old knew better

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

everybody should be used to this by now...

Jun 26, 2010, 12:20 AM

we do this in every sport, we screw up easy opportunities to take it the next level

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I thought about that tonight

Jun 26, 2010, 12:21 AM

and you are so right......guess I should be used to it being a Tiger fan

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

the most frustrating thing is when you know...

Jun 26, 2010, 12:29 AM

you have the talent to take it to the next level but you screw it up by not playing your best. In football for the past five seasons we have had perfect opportunities to win the acc with fsu and miami being down and va tech having an anemic offense. In basketball 3 years ago we were ahead by 18 in the second half against nova and screw it up. The next two years we fail to be less talented teams. In baseball we have been great for years but have yet to win a championship. This year everything lines up perfectly to win it all, but we lose a gift of a game to a lesser team. Hope we win but recent history with our teams doesn't give me much confidence

3 hits. Our starter had no impact on our hitting tonight

Jun 26, 2010, 12:22 AM

Glad we have someone to come back with tomorrow.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Exactly. The only way Harman could helped tonight is if he

Jun 26, 2010, 12:24 AM

threw a complete game shutout

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't always talk shit on the internet, but when I do I prefer TNet. Stay thirsty my friends

LOL at your sig***

Jun 26, 2010, 12:25 AM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

wrong

Jun 26, 2010, 12:28 AM [ in reply to Exactly. The only way Harman could helped tonight is if he ]

him being on the mound tonight puts more pressure on their pitcher which makes him press and allows our hitters to be better. And we get to see him in the NC....now maybe not

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

So

Jun 26, 2010, 12:26 AM [ in reply to 3 hits. Our starter had no impact on our hitting tonight ]

You pitch Harmon, he has the best chance of shutting them down, which puts more pressure on their pitcher which makes our hitters better.

I would have rather pitched Harmon tonight. By doing so, you have a better chance of wrapping it up, AND he can pitch on TUESDAY making sure that UCLA/TCU has to face him.

By pitching him on Saturday, now he won't pitch again until Wednesday which could be pointless if we go 0-2 to UCLA/TCU. I would rather lose the NC knowing the other team had to face our best pitcher than to not have them see him at all.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Sorry, but I can't support that theory

Jun 26, 2010, 12:33 AM

If they were throwing their ace, instead of a two inning pitcher maybe. I think you would have had to like your offensive chances tonight. Even Tanner didn't think he'd last more than 3 innings. If Harman is the stud he would have had to have been tonight, then tomorrow should be in the bag and we battle in the championship series and maybe pray for a little rain.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

so that's what we resort to as fans now??

Jun 26, 2010, 12:34 AM

Praying for freakin rain??? geez

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm just trying to get your boy Harman to pitch

Jun 26, 2010, 12:40 AM

I think we win tomorrow and then win two straight with Harman sitting there not needed in game 3.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I agree.......however we scored ONE run***

Jun 26, 2010, 12:28 AM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

which would have been all we needed***

Jun 26, 2010, 12:28 AM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

LMAO!!!!.well then.......guess we have NOTHING to worry bout

Jun 26, 2010, 12:29 AM

tomorrow

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

nothing other than the fact that our best pitcher

Jun 26, 2010, 12:31 AM

sat his ### on the bench tonight when he should have been on the mound and may not get to pitch in the NC......which means we're in trouble my friend

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

i agree we shoulda thrown our best we had........

Jun 26, 2010, 12:35 AM

but you can't SERIOUSLY think ONE run woulda been all we needed

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No

Jun 26, 2010, 12:52 AM

We would have scored more. Having Harman on the mound would have added more pressure to SC's pitcher which would have helped our hitters. I have been around this game a long time and trust me it's ALL mental

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

What could Harman have done though? Thrown a one

Jun 26, 2010, 12:34 AM

hitter? We got complete gamed by a spot reliever. It is what it is.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

your missing the big picture***

Re: Seen it coming

Jun 26, 2010, 12:38 AM

Come on people do not give up. We will win tomorrow.

tnet-military.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

This let Leggett off the hook

Jun 26, 2010, 12:45 AM

Since we could only score one run, then bringing our ace in would have hurt us, because unless he was going to pitch a shutout, our bats did not do enough to get him the win. Now, if we had lost something like 10-7, then no way Leggett gets off the hook.

Hey Leggett, you made a horrible decision with our pitching tonight, but you were left off the hook due to our bats. If I were you I would be saying my prayers and saying thank you for getting off in this one so easily.
