SEC dominance is a complete fabrication

Alabama is great and thats it!! Lsu just got Dabo 'ed... Uga recruits the best athletes and cant and wont ever get it together.I watched Boise st.dismantle them live,That was fun ,fun..Auburn is a complete joke after Cam spent all his advanced money.Arkansas is in the crapper.MSU is on probation,, Olay Miss is a racist school about to get the probation hammer. Usuc continues 120 years of football and 1 title.Tennessee is horrible since Phil got run off.Florida and Vandy are about the only teams on an upward arc as I see it.

Those seven national titles in a row...including four differences schools, would seem to offer a different perspective.

past season.
LSU lost to a "lowly ACC team," Florida has been a joke, as I mentioned Auburn has had a losing record since their one trick paid pony left, and Bama has been the only dominant team in the last few years.

@Aiken
Dude, are you just ignorant or blind???
Your COOTS have done nothing to add to ANY perceived domininance for the SEC. The rest of your conference laughs at your pathetic coat-tail clinginging A$$ES!!!
Your inbred fans chant "SEC, SEC" and have NEVER won a championship.
Dude, really......GTFO!!!
Go Tigers!!!

I think LSU was #4. All SEC games are equal, division games

are not weighted heavier. Alabama, Georgia, and Florida all had records of 7-1. LSU had a record of 6-2, along with two other teams (SC and A&M, however LSU beat them both head to head so I would put LSU ahead of both of them).
The internet is your friend.

bowl game pairings that are more easily manipulated than regular-season games and that, more often than not, pair SEC teams in bowls closer to home both of which result in more favorable match-ups for SEC teams.
The regular season results are more telling than a random sampling of BCS-manipulated bowl match-ups
Judging by inter-conference records (through the 2011 season) the SEC plays other BCS conferences about equally. The following are the records since the start of the BCS era in 1998:
SEC vs. PAC-12 regular season: 10-12 SEC vs. PAC-12 bowl games: 1-0 SEC vs. Big 12 regular season: 6-10 SEC vs. Big 12 bowl games: 21-8 SEC vs. ACC regular season: 42-36 SEC vs. ACC bowl games: 16-9 SEC vs. Big 10 regular season: 7-4 SEC vs. Big 10 bowl games: 19-19 SEC vs. Big East regular season: 16-15 SEC vs. Big East bowl game: 3-8
The record is pretty clear. In head-to-head match-ups against other major conferences, the SEC generally has either a combined losing record or one that's only a little better than even.
The SEC is better than other conferences at media manipulation and pretending that fiction is fact and fact is fiction but if you look at results on the field as opposed to guesswork from writers, network suits, and BCS computers, as a top-to-bottom conference the $EC is not significantly better at football. The numbers bear that out.

The numbers are the numbers but you do not mention specific rankings of the matchups. It would make sense if you broke it down school-by-school because the blurs the actual numbers. The SEC's record against other conferences is tarnished when the bottom feeders play top non-conference teams and vice versa. That is why the SEC has a good bowl record because the matchups are more even even though the SEC teams in bowl matchups play the #1 or #2 team from the other respective conferences.

I hate the SEC hype machine, but to discount the conference is lunacy. The gap is not as big as E$ecPN wants you to think., but there is a gap.

These are the same bozos that love to hate the ACC. Last year the ACC was as good as any conference outside the ACC except the Big 12. The bid ten was a joke, the Big East was lame and the Pac 12 was a one or two team show. Yet the ACC is always rated as the last or next to last conference. The ACC had 2 solid teams in Clemson and FSU and most conferences only had one or two good teams outside the SEC. I think it is because the rest of the nation hates the SEC but can't put the SEC down without looking stupid so they bash the other southeastern United States conference. If other conferences played the SEC as much as the ACC played them their records would not be very good. The ACC is the last conference to top the SEC also back in 2006 I believe in win percentage in that years matchup games.

And then say other conferences aren't as good because they have "only one or two good teams." ??????

Don't go by conference position but by ranking and records. For example, if the sec is so dominate whhy does a 2 loss sec team lose to two loss acc team? Why does a 1 lloss fl team lose to a 2 loss big east team? Why does a 2 loss sec team brag about beating a 4 loss big 10 team at the buzzer? The src usually struggles against even compettion but rarelly do we see that matchup.

While you can make different perspectives on the SEC, those National Titles will speak until someone beats them. We have the team to do it this year.... Beat UGA, Beat FSU, Beat SCAR and then dont lose to any teams we shouldnt and we will get our chance.
Go Tigers!
