As I don't follow Elon that closely, I wasn't aware of his run-ins with Sam Harris on Twitter/X. Apparently, they used to be friends until Harris tried to set Elon straight about Covid. And when Sam turned out to be right, that was the end of friendship and the begin of mutual disdain.
Anyway, interesting read.

Do some reading on comparisons/research between him and Henry Ford and their strange interloping into the political scene. The similarities are striking.

For entertainment, watch the fictionalized version of the business plot in the movie "Amsterdam." Ford is one of the five industrialists in the conspiracy that the movie doesn't name (others are JP Morgan, Pierre DuPont, but not Walt Disney who was a Hitler superfan but didn't have that much power at the time). Some Trumpers will enjoy the movie because Taylor Swift is assassinated in the street.

I didn't pay attention at the time, but the conflict between Elon and one of Tesla's two true founders is fascinating. Elon came along and was one of the first big investors a year or so after founding with the money he got from being pushed out of PayPal (for insisting they rename it "X"). After he helped push out one of the two founders, lawsuits ensued, resulting in Elon being allowed to call himself a founder too.

He probably has falling-outs with people all the time, probably including within his own family.
Trump and Elon, I predict, will have a falling out during the next few years. Two personalities like that don't co-exist in the same space for long.

Of all the talky talk people who are famous for talking all the time, Sam Harris seems to me one of the most reasonable. It's a testament to his intelligence and wisdom that he's routinely trashed by the extremes of opposing political stripes.

in today's installment of Prime Minister Musk, being sued by the SEC for Fraud, got caught by the reddit gaming community for paying a Chinese gamer to build up his World of Warcraft character, then lying and claiming to be a semi-pro gamer. That seems silly for a 50-year-old.
