The CFP committee will definitely give ammunition for the SEC and B1G to demand more positions for their two conferences. They will tell the other conferences to give into their demands or they will break away and form their own playoff. (The demand will be no automatic bids. Just take the 12 top teams. Or maybe expand to 16 and take the top 16 teams.)

The top 5 ranked two loss teams are from the SEC.
The top 2 ranked 3 loss teams are from the SEC.

The rankings are clearly showing Big 12 and ACC will only get one team in. NO way will loser of the conference championship be ranked in top 12, much less top 11.

The probability is less than that.

He's burned way too many bridges. Some fans may want him, but no one who actually makes the decisions want him. And, he doesn't want to come to FSU either.

IMO they’re making a marketing misstep by consolidating so much for the SEC and BIG. If you want to watch regular season rematches in the playoffs then that’s great but not for me (especially when there’s so little conference crossover play). The non-SEC based viewer will eventually tune out. Maybe not this year or next, but eventually. If they want to be NFL Jr between the SEC/BIG without the competitive guardrails the NFL has then they will eventually reap what they sow.

Viewership will probably be ok because nothing else will be on TV but when you combine unlimited unrestricted free agency, NIL being no salary cap for large market teams, and the consistent over ranking to SEC / BIG teams then I’ll just tune into the NFL on Sunday.

I agree. Their fanatical promotion to a minority segment of the audience has served to alienate the majority of the audience. I think they’ll suffer for it.
