piece that will not go away with the proposed "5 in 5" rule, which really has no hope of standing long against expected lawsuits. What does eligibility even mean since academic requirements are falling faster than Joe Biden on a bicycle? If a player is "college good" but not NFL or NBA good, why shouldn't he or she have the opportunity to play, five, ten, or even fifteen years at the college level. Why 5? That seems very arbitrary and less likely to stand up to future challenges.

We all know Schieff will never play in the NBA. I would love to have him play five more years at Clemson, until he becomes Dr. Schieff. We could have Ben Boulware as a player coach, he'd make more money and we'd pick up a coach on the field.

Why not? College athletics as we once knew it is dead anyway.

I think you mean the NIL error. All for players getting some pay but there should have been some guidelines on that and the portal rather than wait till the horse was out of the corral
